Blessed are those who can give without remembering and receive without forgetting.
This sentence has stuck with me since I first heard it at church Sunday morning.
It’s been a crazy week, a crazy month, a crazy year. People are hurting and people are struggling, whether they are open about it or not.
Thanksgiving is the perfect time to stop complaining about the rules and regulations and precautions being taken to keep us safe – and never look back.
It’s time to take a moment to realize how blessed, in different ways, we each are. It’s time to be thankful for all we have even if it seems like 2020 is out to take it all away.
It’s time to make new memories and new traditions. It’s time to help others and show the kindness and in goodness in our hearts.
Give hope, give love, give peace. Give money, give time. Give patience, give a listening to ear, give a helpful hand. Be the type of person who helps someone’s troubles and worries fade away.
Whether you’re celebrating alone or with family today, virtually or in person, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We’ve made it to the season of giving, so let’s remember to give thanks, give without remembering and receive without forgetting.

Perfectly said!
